Denim Daze in Express

Denim has become an identity to so many, if not everyone, in the world. Think about it, how many pairs of denim do you own? How often do you wear them? Pretty often. I own about 28 pairs and I would say I wear a pair 5 or 6 times a week.

I like simple jeans, not too distressed, although I would 100% opt-in for a pair with minor rips on the knee. Black, faded black, bleach blue, and true blue denim are my favorite washes.

Today, I’m sharing with y’all a pair that I got from Express, the slim light-wash blue stretch jeans. If you’re anything like me, and like to walk a lot and are constantly on the go, I would strongly recommend a pair with stretch, like these guys. The Neutral color allows you to pair them up anyway you would like, from a tank-top to a hoodie.

I shot this in Nolita by one of my favorite lunch spots, La Esquina! (if you like Mexican, this is a must try in the city!)

The 35th Annual America’s Cup Presented by Louis Vuitton

Back in Bermuda, and yes, many assume I live here now , and I’m not mad about it. This time I’m visiting the beautiful island for the 35th Annual America’s Cup presented by Louis Vuitton.

This is my second time at the America’s cup, third time in Bermuda (this year, I’m basically Bermudian.) We got to watch the semi-finals boat-side where New Zealand soared, and eventually won the title this past weekend. For the occasion I wore some of my favorite pieces from the Louis Vuitton’s America’s Cup collection.

The first night we arrived we had an opening dinner at the government house where we wined and dined along side the CEO of LV, Michael Burke, and some bermudian’s  politicians.

I called the Princess Hamilton my home for the weekend, one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed at, which also has a really good restaurant called Marcus.

In between the races we hit the beautiful beaches, particularly The Hamilton’s beach which is a short 10 minute ride from the hotel.

I cannot believe we are at the end of 2013.  This year has been an absolute blessing for me.  I started my year living in the very beautiful Florence, Italy– studying abroad for 5 months. I met some Kool Katz and traveled a few countries. It was incredible, nonetheless. When I arrived back to the states, I returned to work for the company I’ve always dreamt of working for, and today I call my second home, GQ Magazine. The opportunities I received this year, the people I have met and the work I have received via this blog has been nothing more than proof. HARD WORK PAYS OFF. That’s right, there’s no such thing as luck, you create your own luck. After going through 90+ looks from this past year, today, I’m sharing with you guys my top 8 outfits of the year. Yes, this was a difficult task and I went back and forth on dozens of looks. Here are my top 8: When in Doubt, Knit it Out, The Summer Gent, Critters, Brrr, Baby it’s Cold OutsideNYFW Day 3, Plaiditude, Stil Trending: Camo, Suit & Tie. So, let’s try to narrow this down to the TOP look of the year! Got a favorite? Throw it down with a comment below. (Also, if your favorite look didn’t make my top 8, let a brotha know).
