The New York chill has made me miss short-sleeve shirt and swim season (a whole lot). So, when I made it to Miami you know I was super pumped to show some skin. Here are some of my looks that I wore from my recent trip. A few highlights included attending the Veuve Cliquot #VCCarnaval, strolling around the art deco area and living my best life over at the EAST Miami hotel.

Last weekend I was invited to join a few of my fellow blogger mates in sunny Miami for Art Basel (Yup, the same trip I went on exactly a year ago). This time I wanted to share with you guys and highlight the things you can do during Basel (minus the after parties and the actual Art Basel Show). For example.. renting a three floor luxury yacht with your pals (thanks Persol), flying a drone in the middle of the ocean and sharing a few laughs, drinks and making unforgettable memories. For this trip I wore a pair of Persol’s folding  Cellor shades (a folding version of the iconic Cellor model which was created in the 1950s, yup probably before your parents’ time). They were the perfect classic touch to my traditional clean and minimal yacht look. For more travels, join the adventure by following me on IG + Snap Chat= MotiAnkari.

ART BASEL. I finally had the opportunity, huge thanks to Persol, to check out what Basel was all about. Art Basel is similar to New York Fashion Week, minus the beautiful weather, beach babes and endless layers of clothing. Speaking of wardrobe–I was really excited to ditch my puffer jacket for a seersucker blazer, white jeans and my favorite Persol shades. The show was filled with with inspiring art pieces, and although I’m not much of an art collector, I appreciate the hard work and details that went into each piece. I captured some of my favorite pieces I saw at Art Basel, which took place at the Miami Convention center, and of course, Beyonce was one of them. Art Basel is just another reason to make your way to the sunshine state to bask in the heat, have a few, and by a few I mean dozens of, margaritas and mojitos on the beach, AND, more importantly, party all night in SOBE–Hey, I’m not complaining, it’s all about the experience. The most important thing you need to pack for Art Basel are a pair of shades. Why is that? Well, you’ll need a pair to protect your eyes from being blinded from the sun, and also for the times you’ll feel super hangover and want to escape the world, but can’t. I definitely hope to make it back next year, not for the parties, okay who am I kidding, for the parties, but also to find that perfect art piece that will complete my room.
