Swinging in Style with Ted Baker Golf

I wouldn’t consider myself a professional golfer since I only get to play once or twice a year (I blame the lack of space  in New York City which doesn’t allow for a  great golf course.) Over the weekend I flew down south to the Caribbean where I got to experience the most beautiful golf course in Aruba, The Links at Divi Aruba.

For the few hours I played I worked, I had the chance to test drive the new Ted Baker Golf Collection. The collection consists of graphic polos, in addition to bright solids, golf pants, printed vests and even leather golf gloves, which will give you another reason to play the sport. Golf can be conceived as a ‘boring” sport, but that’s probably because you don’t know how to play or have a really luxury golf course to play at. For me, I wanted to show that golf can be fun by dressing up with a punch of print, like the golf ball shirt photographed above. The collection is made out of stretch fabric polos, weather proof outwear and tailored pants so it’s both functional and wearable on and off the course.

You can check out the full collection right HERE. What do you think? Up to play some golf?

The 7 Things You Need for Spring

You should totally ignore that massive snow storm that hit New York last week because Spring is here! It’s time to store your chunky knits, scarves, boots and down jackets with fur-hoods and get ready to upgrade your closet with all need Spring Essentials.

If you haven’t heard already, Canali, The Ferraris and Bentleys of Italian tailoring,  recently launched their new e-commerce site and offers a range of suitspolosaccessories and every shade of blue you can think about (well, almost, but you get where I’m going with that).

I’ve chosen Canali to share with you guys my 7 must haves this Spring!

A Suit That is Not Navy

Navy suits are so last season. Spice up your suit game with a suit that is blue and appropriate for the new season. ($3,095, canali.com)

Transitional Outwear Piece

You need a transitional jacket that is lightweight and not to warm. Plus a number that will have you prepared for April showers and protected like this rain and wind field jacket with a fold-away hood ($1695, canali.com)

A Spring Knit

A knit is probably the most versatile piece in your closet during the Spring season. On the cooler days of Spring you can layer it under your suit or shirt, while the warmer days you can  wear the knit solo. ($595, canali.com)

A Color-block Polo

Polos are back, and aren’t just for the dad that likes to golf on the weekends. Try something fun and loud like this tricolor polo ($375, canali.com)

Stonewash Denim

It’s not quite time for white denim just yet, so keep those in your closet for just a little bit longer. In the meantime opt in for a pair of stone wash denim that are super versatile, like these. You can dress them up with a button down, tucked in of course, with a sleek belt or dressing it casual with a tee or polo, it’s totally up to you! ($450, canali.com)

Wrist Candy

A little accessorizing never hurt nobody. ($195, canali.com)

White Kicks

It should be a tradition, if it isn’t already, to buy a new pair of white sneakers every spring season. Try these perforated leather kicks with brown trim.  ($550, canali.com)

I’d like to thank Canali for the collaboration.

Catching up with Joseph Abboud on his F/W 17 Collection

And another season of NYFW:M is upon us. One of my favorite shows to attend is Joseph Abboud, for a few reasons actually. For starters, he always puts on a show filled with a star-studded line up of supermodels. Additionally, Abboud goes against the grain and instead of showcasing his collection at Skylight Clarkson Square, the home of NYFW:M, he goes with a location that makes sense for the new collection. Production is equally important as the actual threads, and Abboud realizes just that–it’s about the experience, how you feel seeing the new clothing which will affect your opinion. This season I caught up with the man himself, Joseph Abboud, to chat about his inspiration and what we can expect from his new F/W17 collection. A few things you can expect are suiting in velvet and corduroy, dark hues and not one model wearing a tie down the runway. This year, Abboud is set to debut his new Fall Winter collection in the heart of New York inside a church. Click play and watch my interview with Mr. Abboud
