Denim Daze in Express

Denim has become an identity to so many, if not everyone, in the world. Think about it, how many pairs of denim do you own? How often do you wear them? Pretty often. I own about 28 pairs and I would say I wear a pair 5 or 6 times a week.

I like simple jeans, not too distressed, although I would 100% opt-in for a pair with minor rips on the knee. Black, faded black, bleach blue, and true blue denim are my favorite washes.

Today, I’m sharing with y’all a pair that I got from Express, the slim light-wash blue stretch jeans. If you’re anything like me, and like to walk a lot and are constantly on the go, I would strongly recommend a pair with stretch, like these guys. The Neutral color allows you to pair them up anyway you would like, from a tank-top to a hoodie.

I shot this in Nolita by one of my favorite lunch spots, La Esquina! (if you like Mexican, this is a must try in the city!)

Denim days just got better. Day one of Project Show, and going full speed ahead. I met Victor and Sarah, the co-founders of Raleigh Denim & Workshop, last season at Project New York. The super adorable couple started the brand in 2007 in their hometown, Raleigh, NC. If you thought wine ages best with age, well, then you weren’t introduced Raleigh Denim. When purchasing a pair of jeans it’s important for me to find a pair that will last a lifetime, essentially. If you’re in NYC, be sure to check out their flagship store located on Elizabeth street, in NoLita, you will not be disappointed.

When I tell people that I’m a Blogger, they immediately assume that I’m a writer, like J.K Rowling or Stephen King status. Which, unfortunately, I’m not. What EVER happened to “a picture is worth a thousand words?” I mean, this post is already way over the 140 characters that I’m limited to, thanks to Twitter, but I like keeping my text short and sweet. I’m more of a creative and visual individual. I like my outfits to tell their own tale, they can be interpreted in various ways depending on the person, and that is the beauty of it. Today, I’m taking one-half of my favorite suit for spin, that’s right I’m doing dapper gone sporty. I paired my perfectly tailored pinstriped trousers with a pale blue ETON shirt & a slightly distressed denim jacket for that bad ass James Dean-esq vibe. I threw on my Nike Roshe kicks to add that cool sporty feel to it, I wasn’t kidding when I said I’m wearing these bad boys all day, every day.
