This past weekend Persol invited me to a 72-hour trip to Milan to celebrate the release of the folding version of the iconic Cellor style. The new folding rendition comes in 9 different styles and include both optical and sunglasses. To coincide with the campaign Persol invited director Wim Wenders to direct a short film, Paparazzi, which highlights the creative era of Italian cinema in Rome. The film was shot using a camera of the 50′ and the cellulose film for that vintage black and white feel. The premiere of the film debuted during Milan Fashion Week at this beautiful hollywood-like venue called Palazzo Castiglionli.
Although I don’t have a fancy vintage camera or years of experience of directing, I did want to pay my own homage for the new release. So, naturally, here’s a photo diary featuring the new folding iconic cellor shades by Persol. As seen in some of my favorite places: the business class lounge on Emirates, Ceresio 7 rooftop and The historic Duomo of Milan,
